Annabel Faustin was born in Toulon in the South of France in 1989.

Graduated from the École Estienne in 2013, Annabel has been working as a designer for luxury brands for several years. Feeling out of place in this fast-paced environment, she felt the need to create a quiet place for herself and began to paint sleeping characters. She then noticed the positive impact that her paintings had on herself and on the people around her. Her work evolves from canvas to canvas into a long, colorful and joyful awaken dream.
After several exhibitions, Annabel is now represented by Galerie Zberro in Paris.
Annabel Faustin's work reads like a modern tale.
Sometimes islands, sometimes mountains, Annabel's giant and colorful women, inspired by Niki de Saint Phalle sculptures, build et protect the lanscape under the approval of tiny birds and butterflies. Annabel Loves playing with scales, creating complex macrosm and miscrosm to invite the spectator to discover plenty of details while they are approching the painting.
The artist invents a new Eden in which human beings and nature live in total harmony.

Fascinated by the soothing chiaroscuro of Georges de la Tour and by the shimmering colors of the Fauvist painters with whom she shares the same fascination for the the incandescent landscapes of the South of France, Annabel's painting evolves towards contrasts between light and shadow.
The result is the creation of a world without temporality where one seems to live eternally a joyful moment of wonder suspended in time. The vibrant shades of blue and orange contribute to immerse us in this mystical universe.

Annabel's paintings aim is to share with us the state of grace of these female figures in the contemplation of nature, waking up our childish part and inviting us to stare at the sky rather than at our smartphone.
