Annabel-solo-show-005-retouchée.jpg

Annabel Faustin was born in the South of France in Toulon, in 1989.

When she was 4, her father who was a fireman and a painter, died in a plane crash. This accident has influenced her life and her will to become a painter like her father to realise the dream he couldn’t achieve anymore.

In 2007, Annabel moved to Paris where she obtained a diploma in Art direction at L’École Estienne in 2013 and a Master degree in Design and Luxury in 2014.

From 2014 to 2019, she worked for many luxury brands as a designer where she enjoyed her work, but experimented with lack of time and overproduction. As a kind of art therapy for herself, she began to paint portraits of sleeping characters to express her own tireness. She shared her paintings on social medias where she received so many positive reactions and messages that she decided to become a full time painter.

Inspired by the joyful and committed univers of Niki de Saint Phalle and also her own dreams and souvenirs, the aim of Annabel is to create positive pictures to peacefully fight against the anxiety of our modern society. Behind the softness of her paintings, Annabel also delivers a strong commitment into Ecology and Feminism.

From one painting to another, Annabel invites us to visit an endless dream with a common visual language : clouds passing by, phones reflecting quiet skies, Provence landscapes, and always these huge women, fixing and protecting Nature or relaxing with each others.

Since 2019, Annabel lives and works in Paris. Her paintings appear several times in French media Grazia, Konbini Arts, Support Magazine, Inside closet ans also in English magazine Widewalls and more recently Harper’s Bazaar.

Between 2020 and 2022, she had several solo shows and group shows with digital and physical galeries in France and abroad.

She is now represented by Galerie Zberro in Paris 8e.

Her paintings are in private collections in countries such as France, United States, Switzerland, Germany, China, Corea, and other countries around the world.
